I just listed an absolutely beautiful set of Engravings from the 1870s on horses. The images are in outstanding condition, and the contemporary color was done by one of the best colorists in the country. A great set of images for framing….!

Newly listed is an original engraving from Harper's Weekly, April 25th, 1863: The U.S. Navy Ironclad Keokuk, before it was sunk by the Confederates. The ship was an experimental one, and was all iron, except for the deck which was wood. It was named for a city in Iowa.

Beautiful hand coloring, in outstanding condition……

I just listed an outstanding set of original engravings on Australia from the 19th century. The topics range from the Duke of Edinburgh, Searching For Water In The Bush, the Railroad of Western Australia, and an excellent image of an Australian Wheeler (Bicycle) from 1896. The Searching For Water In The Bush image is from one of the scarcest and most difficult to find of the illustrated publications of the time-The Black And White.

For many years I dealt in and handled one of the largest collections of Illustrated images worldwide. They were engraved from original sketches of the time from Artist Correspondents that were employed by the newspapers. It truly is history happening, as and when it happened.

I will be listing another set on Australia, Japan, and a number of assorted images which I still have in inventory. All of the images are in outstanding condition, and any defects will always be noted.

Thank You Again for taking time out, I am always here to answer your questions…….
